Electronic health records vendor Allscripts has forged a partnership with the United States Orthopedic Alliance (USOA) to create an orthopedic services technology platform that would help providers all over the United States of America (USA).
As Allscripts brings its healthcare information technology (IT) infrastructure to the table and USOA brings its industry experience, the two partners will collaborate to develop a platform that intends to help orthopedic practices scale, provide evidence-based guidelines to support evolving clinical protocols, improve Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation timelines, and offer value-based care analytics to create community-wide connectivity.
In a statement, Leah Jones, the Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Manager (GM) of Allscripts’ ambulatory business unit, said that combination of the extensive industry expertise of USOA with the vast technology expertise offered by Allscripts and broad use in the independent physician space would create a compelling platform for orthopedic practitioners that want to access health IT solutions that only the largest health systems could afford.
