Pfizer TO COME UP WITH A POWDERED VERSION OF ITS COVID-19 VACCINE

After announcing that its COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed with BioNTech was 90 percent effective in preventing coronavirus infection, a Pfizer’s top scientist said that it is already working on a powder form of its vaccine.
Mikael Dolsten, Pfizer’s chief scientific officer said this version of the vaccine is already being planned and likely to be available next year.
Meanwhile on Monday, Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer said “The first set of results from our Phase 3 COVID-19 vaccine trial provides the initial evidence of our vaccine’s ability to prevent COVID-19.”
As per the preliminary findings, protection in patients was achieved a week after the second of two doses, and 28 days after the first.
Pfizer Chairman and CEO said “We are a significant step closer to providing people around the world with a much-needed breakthrough to help bring an end to this global health crisis.” He further said that “we are reaching this critical milestone in our vaccine development program at time when the world needs it most.”
