Having a healthy lifestyle is in no doubt a must do in every humans life. One of the most form of having a healthy life is to control you nutrition plan and have a healthy diet. It is well known that having a healthy diet will maintain your health and prevent many diseases from affecting you.
A recent study conducted by a team of researchers have shown that a plant based diet is very healthy that it can reduce the risk of you developing any kidney diseases. The study was published in the journal of CJASN showing positive results and functions of kidney for humans who use a plant only diet. The risk of chronic kidney diseases decreased to a huge amount.
The study was led by PhD holders by Hyunju Kim and Casey M. Rebholz who both work at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. They commented on their obtained results saying, “For kidney disease risk, it appears to be important to choose healthy options for plant sources of food, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and legumes. Also, our finding of a significant interaction by weight status at baseline suggests that following a healthy eating pattern may be particularly beneficial before becoming overweight or obese.”
The study included the use of test sample consisting of 14,686 adults who took part of the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities. The results were gathered after 24 years, where 4,343 participants developed chronic kidney diseases who were not eating a plant based diet.
