‘Long COVID’, the word which is spreading like wildfire across the globe and leaving people more worried. Ever since the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated it’s public guidance on Long COVID, people are trying to understand the seriousness of this aspect of the dreadful virus.
Meanwhile on Sunday, the National Health Service (NHS) from the United Kingdom made an announcement that it was organizing a network of over 40 specialists clinics to people suffering from the Long COVID and launching a task force in order to better understand what it is.
Researchers are learning that several organs along with lungs are being affected by the coronavirus and there are many ways this infection can impact someone’s health said the CDC. The CDC further said it goes on to say that even when people have initial bouts of COVID-19 that are very mild, troubling symptoms can emerge afterward. These symptoms are likely to have fatigue, coughing, acute breath, joint pain and chest pain along with brain fog, depression, muscle pain, headaches, heart palpitations and intermittent fever.
Several researchers despite describing it as really concerning are still trying to understand its severity.
