The main highlight of the Middle East Treasurer Summit: The latest technological developments.

The organizers announced further characteristics of the program a few days before the 11th annual summit of treasurers for the Middle East in Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, from 1-2 October. Organized by the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) and open to non-members of the organization, the Summit is targeted at financial professionals and treasuries.

The joint sponsors, Emirates NBD, and HSBC are organizing several Keynote and workshop meetings on how technologies like Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence will simplify transactions and remove paper use. They will investigate the role of treasurer and its bank associates in the digitalization of systems in the Near East.

The HSBC Keynote session features Rajesh Garg, Group CFO, Landmark Group, Ian Pettigrew, Regional Head of Innovation, Global Liquidity and Cash Management, HSBC Bank Middle East, and Vishal Verma, Executive, Cash Management & Treasury Services, MENAT/SSA, GE.

The panel will talk about digital transformation structures and how organizations use technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, as well as robotic process automation and what value they hold for the future.

The NBD Keynote of the Emirates focuses on how digitalization revolutionizes the treasury while bringing together the theme of the two-day summit; national insights and worldwide perspectives. This will give the Middle East Treasury community precious insights.

The speakers are Arun Singh, Corporate Treasurer, Aramex, and Sumit Aggarwal, Executive Vice President and Head of Transaction Banking, Emirates NBD.
