Large Scale bioreactors were used for conventional methods for manufacturing drugs and vaccines which requires expensive infrastructure and costly reagents. The process generally requires many months to establish, for stability and consistency of the cells. Clearly, their Hypertrans® technology works in a completely different way by “infiltrating” the leaves of plants with the gene sequences of the products which are supposed to manufacture. It has the potential to enable the manufacture of a number of different types of therapeutic drugs and diagnostic tools at a lower cost than the conventional methods allow, boosting the manufacturing rate simultaneously. As the system is controlled in a virtual environment, the plants can be sustained by manipulating the environment irrespective of the actual environmental conditions in the atmosphere. In fact, the plants would probably never come to know of the virtual atmosphere as long as they can photosynthesize in their usual routines!
Now, as the cost of raw materials decreases, the profit margins can be sustained at lower prices as well. This, on the other hand, increases the demand if the average rate of the profit margins is held constant as the net demand increases.
