A significant link is found between air pollution and the risk of miscarriage by some Researchers in their report in China released this Monday. As air pollution is connected to almost every disease suffered by humans on this earth, there are increasing risks of diseases, strokes, and heart attacks. The new researching added urgency to Beijing’s effort to sterilize the problem, which has been a menace for the. Facing a rapidly aging population, the government has been trying to increase the national birth rate, which dropped last year to the lowest level since 1949.
According to a study published in the journal Nature Sustainability, scientists from five Chinese universities examined the rate of “missed abortions” in the first trimester, which can occur in up to 15 percent of pregnancies. The condition is also known as silent or missed miscarriages. This certain miscarriage happens when the fetus inside the uterus has died, but there are no physical signals of the miscarriage. Due to which the parents are manipulated to believe that the pregnancy is progressing normally.
A researcher at Beijing Normal University, Zhang Liqiang, who is the lead author of the study, said such miscarriages could be “especially traumatic” for expecting parents, who often only find out about them days or weeks later. He also added that they weren’t well studied, part of the reason for the researchers’ focus. If the pollution keeps prevailing further, there are chances of a ‘Zygote Draught’ in the near future, and the medical assistance would be helpless too to help out the parent mother in that case.
